On the other side of rejection (!!!)

I’ve been rejected.
I hate being rejected.
Sometimes, it feels like it never gets easier—
but I can confirm: it does.
It gets easier when you understand, deep down,
that it doesn’t define your self-worth.
It gets easier when you remind yourself
there are things you simply can’t control—
and as weird as it sounds, it's better that way.
The opportunity, the person, the dream… you name it.
It’s been a while since I told myself
I wanted to get comfortable with being rejected—
that was the rational side of me, of course :)
But the truth is,
the only reason I need to be okay with it
is because the path I chose to walk requires it.
It requires that I lean not on my own understanding,
and put my trust in something bigger than myself.
It keeps me grounded.
It keeps me humble.
Otherwise, to be honest,
I’d do everything in my power
to avoid that piercing feeling in my chest
every time I’m… not chosen,
or when things don’t go the way I envisioned.
Anyway, here I am in my car,
writing down why I should be okay
after just being rejected once again.
I asked for this.
I prayed for this.
It’s happening.
I’ll be okay.
It gets better.
I’m on the other side,
and I’m thankful this process taught me
that rejection isn't personal—
it's directional.
And the truth is—
life requires risk.

Loving requires risk.
Creating requires risk.
Becoming who you’re meant to be requires risk.

And rejection?
It’s just part of the deal.

It’s not a sign you’re failing—
it’s proof you’re trying.
Proof you’re choosing movement over fear.
Faith over control.

And if nothing else,
I hope this little ramble reminds you:
you’re not alone.

If you’re being rejected, it means you’re moving.
And if you’re moving, you’re going places.

Just know:
there are people who will walk with you,
appreciate you,
and support you
the way you truly deserve,
through every season of life.

There are spaces that will welcome you,
and environments that will build you up.

Find those people.
Search for those places.
And keep them close.
